Meet Elizabeth Mitchell of SkLo, the Czech word for “glass” for a look at their latest collections designed by Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak in Healdsburg, CA. The influence of their backgrounds as jeweler, metalsmith, artist and architect reveals itself in the design of each piece. Come by and meet Elizabeth Mitchell and enjoy a light lunch.

Lighting control has become a standard in new construction and existing retrofit solutions…those who have it love it and wonder how they ever lived without it! Participants will walk away from this course with a basic understanding of lighting control terminology, and the benefits and solutions related to lighting control – presented in a simple, easy to understand language. In this course you’ll learn about the importance of residential shading. You’ll also gain a better understanding of the differences between motorized and manual shading, the importance of fabric characteristics and how it plays into the performance of shading fabric, and discover how automated shading systems maximize day lighting. Join interior designers Marie Flanigan, Lucinda Loya and Courtnay Elias for an inspiring talk on reinventing the culture of closets into everyday living spaces, creating a haven to spend the first and last moments of our day within moderated by Meredith Xavier. They will discuss how to design customized closets that not only maximize functionality, but add value to the home and individual style of each homeowner.
